CAPACares was founded in 1975 by a group of concerned citizens in Independence, Missouri, and has grown from a simple hotline to a holistic agency serving all of Jackson County and the surrounding Kansas City metro providing professional counseling programs for children and non-offending caregivers who have experienced abuse or family trauma, child abuse prevention education, parenting education classes, and home-visiting family support services.
